March 1947, after several years of experience in the sector of leather goods and equipment, Cav. Orlando Leone founded LEONE 1947®, a sporting goods factory in Milan.

His love for boxing led the founder to produce items specifically for this sport and the company soon became a market leader.

All Italian boxers of the time wore LEONE® gloves at some point. Since then, the LEONE® brand has been a constant feature of the ring, both in Italy and around the world, and it also offers its manufacturing experience to new new disciplines from abroad, such as kickboxing, Thai boxing, savate and MMA.

Over the past years, LEONE® has expanded internationally, taking its business to new foreign markets and consolidating its leading position as an Italian brand in the martial arts sector thanks to prestigious international sponsorship deals with stars such as Giorgio and Armen Petrosian, Gago Drago, Artur Kishenko, Alessio Sakara, Leonard Bundu, Sak Kaoponlek, Chingiz Allazov, Iuri Bessmertni, Mathias Gallo Cassarino, Lena Ovchinnikova and many others.
